In offshore oil industries, oil storage ships, cargo vessels are common requirements. To operate these tankers a systematic training of personnel is essential. The Directorate General of Shipping at India, has formulated the course curriculum for this course and authorized few organizations to conduct the course.

I have undergone this course at India and found it very useful. The course deals with various safety aspects of the oil tanker operation and builds up the confidence level of the trainee. At the end of the course, there would be written test for this course to get the course certificate. This course is a must for staff working in oil tankers.
