· International Safety Management (ISM)

In early days Safety Management was an option for any oil or shipping industry and it was not a mandatory requirement. Understanding the importance of the Safety, the Management of Safety has become a statutory requirement in shipping industries for high capacity ships. With respect to the oil industries, self-propelled oil-rig and production processing facilities have come under the statutory requirement limits. This is an International requirement.

To prepare an individual to effectively manage the safety aspects, ISM course is structured to train people in the relevant area. I have attended this course in India and looking after the Safety Management system of various oil field facilities like boats, ships and oil processing facilities.
